You got into the trades to build things, not push paper.

General contractors, electricians, plumbers, HVAC and specialty trades lose hours every week to estimates, paperwork, scheduling and phone tag. Practical AI can hand a big share of that back to you.

Where it helps

Eight places AI earns its keep in a trade business

You don't need all of these. Most businesses start with the one or two that hurt the most.

01

Estimates and takeoffs

AI reads plans, photos and scope notes, then drafts an estimate from your own price book and past jobs. You review and send, instead of starting from a blank spreadsheet at 9 p.m.

02

Quote follow-up

Every open quote gets a timely, personal follow-up automatically. Fewer jobs slip away just because nobody had time to call back.

03

Paperwork on autopilot

Snap a photo of a receipt, invoice, permit, delivery ticket or lien waiver. AI reads it, files it to the right job and pushes the numbers into your accounting system.

04

Scheduling and dispatch

Balance crews, travel time and job priorities, and keep customers informed with automatic confirmations, reminders and on-the-way texts.

05

Materials and inventory

Track stock in the shop and on the trucks, spot what's running low and reorder before a missing part costs you a return trip.

06

Phones and lead intake

An AI receptionist answers after-hours and overflow calls and web inquiries, captures job details, books appointments and hands you qualified leads.

07

Job-site documentation

Turn photos and voice notes from the field into daily logs, punch lists and change order drafts, organized by job and ready to share.

08

Job costing and reporting

See which jobs, crews and customers actually make you money, with weekly numbers pulled together automatically instead of at year-end.

No data team required

Big-company AI experience, without the big-company overhead.

I've spent my career building AI that reads documents and automates paperwork-heavy processes for large healthcare and benefits organizations, where mistakes are expensive and the results have to be measurable.

Your invoices, permits and change orders are a very similar problem. The difference is that you need solutions that are affordable, simple to run and working in weeks. That's exactly what I focus on.

Questions

What contractors usually ask

I run a small shop. Is this really for me?

Yes. Smaller trade businesses often see the biggest payoff, because the owner is usually the estimator, dispatcher and bookkeeper all at once. Taking even a few hours of paperwork off that plate every week is a real win.

Do I have to replace the software I already use?

Usually not. Most of what I build connects to the tools you already have, whether that's QuickBooks, a field service platform, spreadsheets or email. When a change does make sense, I'll explain why and what it costs.

My crews aren't tech people. Will they actually use it?

That's the test every solution has to pass. If it isn't as easy as taking a photo or sending a text, it won't get used in the field, so that's how I design it.

How fast will I see results?

An assessment takes a week or two, and most first builds are in use within a few weeks. We pick a first project that pays off quickly so you can judge the value before committing to more.
